Lynn Alva Griffin

Lynn Alva Griffin, Scott Township, went home to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 20th, at Regional Hospital, Scranton. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, William J. Griffin.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Olin and Mary Evans VanFleet. She was a God-fearing woman and a founding member of the Evangelical Free Bible Church, Waverly. Lynn enjoyed gardening, baking, and Saturday morning yard sales. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all around her.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters Cara Slocum, her husband Roy, and Brenda Griffin, both of Scott Township; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and her brother Gary VanFleet and his wife Karen of Newton Township.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
