E. Louise Saxe, of Milwaukee, died April 11, at the Regional Hospital in Scranton. She was the widow of the late Charles Irving Saxe Sr. who died in 2006.
Born Scranton, she was the daughter of the late A.J. and Mary Migliorino Ferraro. She was a graduate of West Scranton High School and was employed for many years at the Half Way House of the Country Club of Scranton. She was a member of the Red Hatters Society and also Trinity Lutheran Church.
Louise was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting, baking and cooking. She also played the piano and sang in the choir. Louise, affectionately known as "Chicky" to her husband, loved traveling, especially to their home in Florida. She had a great love for their dog Sassy.
Surviving are two sons, Charles I. Saxe Jr. and his wife Leile; and James B. Saxe both of Milwaukee; two daughters, Barbara Post, Scranton; and Marie Bell and her husband Richard, Orange Park FL; three brothers, Robert Ferraro and his wife Sheila, Ransom; James Ferraro and his wife Dianne, Richmond VA; and Joseph Ferraro, Arizona; a sister Frances Gieski and her husband Ronald; Dickson City; four grandchild sons Charles Saxe III, Daniel Bell, James Rosencrance, and Walter Post; a granddaughter Debra Rosencrance; four great grandchildren Ryan Saxe ,and Victoria and Mason Post, and one on the way ; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother Charles Ferraro.
The family would like to thank the Regional Hospital staff, especially the nurses on the 6th floor for the compassionate care extended to Louise during her stay.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11am from the Trinity Lutheran Church, 205 West Grove St, Clarks Summit Pa. 18411, with services by Rev J. Mathews, Pastor.
Friends may call Saturday from 10 am until time of Service at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church at the above address.
