Lois Buckingham Muchler Zentz, R.N., Clarks Summit, died Wednesday morning at the Abington Manor Nursing Facility. She was the widow of Charles A. Zentz, who died March 10, 1993.
Born in Plymouth, daughter of the late William and Helen Shaffer Muchler, she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit as well as a member of the Alumni Association of Moses Taylor Hospital. She had been a resident of Clarks Summit since 1965. She was a graduate of Plymouth High School and the Moses Taylor School of Nursing as a registered nurse. Before retirement, she was the nurse-manager at Moses Taylor Hospital.
Surviving are a daughter, Susan Mailen, South Abington Twp.; a son, Richard Zentz, Lutherville, Md.; a granddaughter, Mallory Mailen; and two grandsons, Tyler and Daniel Zentz. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Muchler.
The family would like to thank the staff at Abington Manor and AseraCare Hospice for their care and compassion.
The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. from the First Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit, with services by the Rev. William Carter, pastor. Interment will be in Edge Hill Cemetery, West Nanticoke.
