Linda A. Kemp, 66, of S. Abington Twp., died Monday evening at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton.
Born in Brooklyn NY, she was the daughter of the late Harold J. and Dorothy Kenealy Maro. He was a graduate of Lynbrook High School in NY and went on to attend SUNY Empire State College. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor. She was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church in Clarks Summit.
Linda was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister who loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Jordan.
Surviving is her daughter Regina Kemp, S. Abington; her granddaughter Jordan Kemp, S. Abington; her sister Victoria Maro Hendler and her husband Dale, Oakland CA.; a nephew Matthew Gremse, and a great niece Sophia Gremse, both of Oakland CA.
A memorial mass will be held Friday at 10am from Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St. Clarks Summit pa. 18411. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive friends at the church from 9am until time of service.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State St. Clarks Summit Pa. 18411.
