Linda Geatwong Smith

Linda Geatwong Smith, 57, of Tunkhannock passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Charles Smith.

Born on April 18, 1969, in Korat, Thailand, she is the daughter of Tassanee Geatwong.

Linda loved animals of all kinds, especially dogs and cats. Her love for animals went far beyond the ordinary, as she even had pet boa constrictors over the years. She had a natural connection with animals and found great happiness in caring for them.

Those who knew Linda knew she was a force to be reckoned with. She was strong, determined, and never afraid to speak her mind. Her bold personality and independent spirit were a big part of who she was and made her unforgettable to those whose lives she touched.

Linda enjoyed spending time outdoors and appreciated nature in all its forms

In addition to her husband, she is survived by son, Charles Smith; stepdaughter, Krysta Smith; 2 brothers; several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her stepson, Casey Smith; 1 brother.

Funeral services will be held at a later date.
