Mrs. Lillian Antoine Perry, 90, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2014 at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, NC.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 8, 2014 at Bennettsville First Church of the Nazarene officiated by the Rev. Mark Foster.
A graveside will be held on Tuesday at 10 am at Miller Cemetery in Scott Township, PA.
Born March 27, 1924 in Scranton, PA, she was daughter of the late Herbert W. and Eva A. Miller Antoine. Mrs. Perry was a member of the Bennettsville First Church of the Nazarene where she was a Sunday School Teacher , and a member of the choir. She was the past President of Missions, and the Ladies Friendship Circle. She was the Co-Chair of the Marlboro County Literacy Council, and was a tutor with them for over twenty years. For more than 15 years, Mrs. Perry visited nursing homes once a week, and for more than 20 years she crotched baby blankets and sweater sets for the Navy and Marine Corps Relief Society Auxiliary of Quantico, VA. While her children were growing up, Mrs. Perry was a room mother at their school, and was a Cub Scout Den mother. She loved church, and also loved to read, crochet, travel, and work Sudoku puzzles.
Along with her parents, listed above, she was preceded in death by her son, Roy Edward Perry; a brother, Herbert Antoine, Jr.; and sisters, Imogene M. Cucura, Wanita Stanton, and Glenda J. Majors.
She is survived by her daughters, Michal Susan Bukky of Lancaster, OH, and Betty Perry Dolechek of Sisters, OR; brothers, Richard H. Antoine and wife, Carrie, David L. Antoine and wife, Janice, Donald E. Antoine, and Edward B. Antoine and wife, Branda; sisters, Alberta E. Antoine, and Frances Edwards and husband, Lynn; grandchildren, Ben Bukky and wife Carissa, and Nick Bukky and wife, Molly; step-granddaughter, Anita Maltry and husband, Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Ezra Bukky, and Izak Bukky; and step-great-grandchildren, David Maltry, and Maxwell Maltry.
