Lester L. Landsiedel, Dalton, died Thursday morning at his home. He and his wife, the former Carolyn Richards, were married in 2000. His first wife, MaryAnn Davis Landsiedel, preceded him in death in 1995.
Born in Scranton, son of the late Clarence and Emorgene Kresge Landsiedel, he was self-employed on his family farm before retirement. He was a member of the Schultzville United Methodist Church, which is now joined with Countryside Community Church. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Vegetable Growers Association and the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, as well as a former board member and a director of the Berwick Vegetable Cooperative.
His perfect grandchildren were the lights of his life as he attended most of their horse shows and football games. His joy was working and restoring his Case Tractors.
Also surviving are two sons, Clarence and wife, Paula, and Roy and wife, Lisa; a brother, Charles; six grandchildren, Sarah, Matthew, Brandy, Justin, Kelsey and Molly, all of Dalton; three stepsons, Wayne Clark and wife, Grace, Mount Cobb; Randy Clark and wife, Karen, Lemon; and Bryon Clark, Lemon; and three stepgrandchildren, Kelly, Chelsea and Jordon.
The funeral service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, with services by the Rev. Dr. Jean-Pierre Duncan, pastor of the Countryside Community Church.
