Leonard Zinn,78,  of So. Abington Twp. died Monday evening at Regional Hospital in Scranton.

Born in Scranton, son of the late Dallas and Loretta Riccardo Zinn, he was of the Catholic faith and was educated in Dunmore public schools.  He proudly served in the US Army.

Leonard received great enjoyment spending time with his family. He was a loving and caring son, brother, uncle, great-uncle and father figure to his 2 youngest sisters. Leonard will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Before retirement he was partners with his brother Ronald in Zinn's Westside Sunoco, Scranton from August 1977 to 1987. Later he and his brother were owner/operators and drove tractor trailer across country for Mayflower Movers.

Surviving is are three  sisters; Dolores Cillo and husband Anthony of Middlesex, NJ, Loretta James and husband John of Piscataway, NJ, and Cheryl Fairbanks and husband Glenn of Fleetville. Two nieces, six nephews, four great-nieces and seven great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister Deborah Cotillis in May, and his brother Ronald in January of this year.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at a time to be determined. Interment will take place in Dunmore Cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home 418 State Street, Clarks Summit.
