L. A. Kennenwood, 50, died Sunday morning at the Forest City Nursing Home & Rehab Center. He was the widower of the former Joyce Watkins Kopec.
Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Joel Sr. and Dorothy Thompson Ashley. He was a chef at local restaurants and an Armed Forces veteran.
He is survived by three brothers, Joel Jr., Keith and Michael Ashley; three sisters, Everly Sioux Kelly, Sandra Ricker, and Sharon Kirn; and a good friend, Charles Huzzard.
He was preceded in death by a sister Lois Williams.
At his request, there will be no calling hours.
