Kenneth P. Smith, 76, Dalton, died Monday at his home. He and his wife, the former Ann Costello, celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary on May 6.
Born in Clarks Summit, son of the late Merrill and Gertrude Miner Smith, he worked for Scranton Corrugated Box for 34 years before retirement. He was a member of St. Mary's of the Lake Church, Lake Winola, and life member of the Mill City Sportsmen's Club.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and NASCAR.
Also surviving are a son, Paul and wife, Doreen, Dalton; a daughter, Debbie Rohland and husband, Kenny, Scranton; two brothers, Paul and wife, Emma, Lakeland, Fla.; and Joseph, Tunkhannock; a sister, Barbara, Dalton; and two grandsons, Don and Cooper.
He was also preceded in death a son, Kenneth P. Smith Jr., in 1983.
A private blessing service will be held at the convenience of the family at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment will be in Abington Hills Cemetery.
