Kelly Marie Holt, 32, Clarks Summit, died on Sunday at the home of her devoted parents John "Bud" and Dee Holt, after a 21 year battle with diabetes.
Kelly was born on June 1, 1975 at the Community Medical Center in Scranton.
Kelly graduated from Abington Heights in 1993 where she was very active in the S.A.D.D. program and a variety of drama organizations. Following graduation she attended Wilkes University. She became a licenced insurance agent for Volpe and Monumental Insurance Companies.
Kelly was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and a good friend to all that knew her.
Kelly had a passion for movies, everything Irish "Luvbinirish", writing poetry and music. She loved baking for family and friends and she was also an avid animal lover, especially her beloved cats, Sophie and Ella.
Also surviving are sisters, Debbie Plantholt and husband, Bill, Clarks Summit, Tammy Vanfleet and her husband, Brian, Dalton, Wendy Babushko and her husband, Carl, Clarks Summit, a brother, John Holt, and his wife, Rose, Clarks Summit; nieces and nephews, Olivia Plantholt, Andrew and Katie holt, Jess Paieski, Sam Babushko, Nick and Nathan Vanfleet, and her companion Alan Christ.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 1pm from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit with services by Rev. Paul J. Fields, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Factoryville. Interment will be in Clarks Green Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday 5-7pm.
