Kathryn Davis

Kathryn Davis of Clarks Summit passed away at the age of 90 on Thursday, January 10th in Bluffton, South Carolina. Kathryn was predeceased by her loving husband, Byron, in 1997.

Born in Newton, the daughter of the late Harry and Blanche Saxe and sister of the late James Saxe, Kathryn was a graduate of Newton High School and the Lackawanna Business School. She worked at the Swanee Paper Mill prior to devoting her life full time to her family. She was an active, lifelong member of the Clarks Summit United Methodist Church, participating in groups such as United Methodist Women, Ruth Circle, Crafters and Red Hats. Kathryn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed.

Kathryn is survived by her children, Neil (Elsie) Davis, Towson, MD, James (Vicky) Davis, Glen Burnie, MD, Pamela Davis-Webb (Robin), Bluffton, SC, and Barbara Davis (William Gorgas), Bluffton, SC. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kathryn, Mark and Maxfield.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 15th from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at The Clarks Summit United Methodist Church, 1310 Morgan Highway, Clarks Summit, PA  18411.  A memorial service will immediately follow at 12:00 by the Rev. Andrew Weidner, pastor.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Clarks Summit United Methodist Church.
