Karla L. Stadnick

Karla Lee Stadnick, 71, of Clarks Summit went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, April 14 ^th , 2017.  Her loving husband of 41 years is John T. Stadnick.

Born in Winfield, Kansas on July 18, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Pastor Karl B. and Claudine M. Smith.  She was a graduate of Petoskey High School, Petoskey, MI, class of 1963.

Her interest was in music and therefore she attended Grand Rapids Baptist Bible College to further her training in that area.  She was accomplished in organ, piano and voice.

Her working career took her to several places in the USA, one of which was The Association of Baptist for World Evangelism in Harrisburg.  She worked there for several years before she met her husband John T. Stadnick.  They were married on November 22, 1975.  After coming to the Clarks Summit area, she worked the longest for ACE-Robbins, Inc. in Tunkhannock.

Karla and her husband enjoyed serving together in the churches they attended.  Her love was serving in music ministry.  For the past 17 years they have been members of and served at the Heritage Baptist Church in Clarks Summit.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a brother-in-law Charles Stulz of Cecil, NJ; a niece Erika Cahill and her husband, Jim of Mays Landing, NJ; a nephew, Christopher Stulz and his wife Lauren, Sicklerville, NJ; a grandnephew, Jackson Travis Cahill; a grandniece,Delaney Cahill.

She was preceded in death by a sister in law, Pamela G. Stulz who died in 2013.

A Memorial Service will be held on May 12, 2017 at 7 PM at the Heritage Baptist Church, 415 Venard Rd., So. Abington Twp., PA.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home & Cremation Svc., 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, PA.
