Karen J Zimmerman, 54, of Virginia Beach VA passed away at home on Monday January 14.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mona Durso. She was a graduate of Abington Heights High School. Karen had a long career in retail and was a business owner.

Throughout her life, Karen had many hobbies and talents. She enjoyed long motorcycle rides with her husband, getting together with siblings, flea marketing, arts and crafts, and playing with her grandchildren on the beach. She could light up a room with her smile and always started dancing whenever music was on.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by nephew CJ Durso and niece Rachael Wydeen.

Surviving is her husband Scott Zimmerman; three children Amanda, Willard, and Stephanie Zimmerman; six grandchildren Jacob, Maggie Mae, Tyler, Benjamin, Ella, and Charlee; siblings and spouses Chris and Donna Durso, Corey and Amy Durso, Don and Sarah Durso, Mike Durso and Joe Moran, Toni and Rick Weidlich, Merry and Dave Koscianski, Cerredwin Deborah and Joe Marshall; and many nieces and nephews.

She will forever be loved and missed.

A funeral service will be held Friday at 7 pm from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. 418 S. State St. Clarks Summit, PA 18411 .  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 pm until the time of the service.
