Karen Unley, Fl, formerly of Dalton died on Feb 5th , 2015 in Florida.
Born in Scranton on March 30, 1948 she was the daughter of the late Walter and Elisabeth Close Unley. She was a 1966 graduate of Lackawanna Trail High School, and then earned her LPN degree at Presbyterian Nursing School.
Karen was a sweet, generous and compassionate nurse who was dedicated to her family and will be missed by all who knew her. She enjoyed playing Scrabble with friends and family, but most of all walking with her beloved dog, Mia, along the beach.
The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Kondash for his compassion and guidance during Karen's brief illness.
Surviving are a son, Chael Mundrake and his wife Pam, Waverly; a daughter Kristina Mundrake with whom she resided in Florida; two sisters, Jane Richards and her husband William, Factoryville and Gretchen Paal and her husband William, New Jersey; five grandchildren, Austin Wells, Cody, Troy, Talon, Jax Mundrake and 13 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister Katherine Dunn.
Services are set for Karen Unley, Florida, formerly of Dalton, who died Feb. 5 in Florida.
A celebration of Karen's life will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Dalton United Methodist Church, 125 S. Turnpike Road, Dalton.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be welcomed to the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Rd., So. Abington Twp., PA 18411
