June Dickinson, 85, of Dalton, died Saturday in the VNA Hospice at Geisinger Community Medical Center. She was the widow of the late William O. Dickinson who died in 2008. The couple had been married over 60 years.

Born in Clarks Summit, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth Decker Keller. She was a graduate of Newton Ransom High School. For many years, June faithfully attended Schultzville United Methodist Church, and most recently attended Bethel United Methodist Church.

June was a wonderful friend to many and a tireless homemaker. She loved to bake, cook and entertain whoever came to her home. She enjoyed crafting and more than anything else, spending time with her family.

Surviving are her daughter Donna Sluck and husband Michael, Dalton; two sons, Dennis and his wife Arlene, Dalton, and Ralph and his wife Mary Dalton; 7 grandchildren, 'April Darrow and husband Chris, Greg Dickinson and wife Ashley, Dan Sluck and wife Stephanie, Steven Sluck, Jessica Dickinson, Josh Dickinson and wife Addie, Jeremy Dickinson; 6 great grandchildren , Ashley and Ryan Darrow, Emma and Nora Dickinson, Jane and Jack Sluck ; ;a brother, Donald Keller, and his wife Ethyl, Middletown, NY; a sister, Martha Witmer, Summit, NJ; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son Kenneth.

A Celebration of June's Life will take place at 4 pm on Friday July 25 at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit by Rev Crystal Baumgardner, pastor, Bethel United Methodist Church. Interment at the convenience of the family will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.

Friends may call on Friday from 2 to time of the service at the funeral home.
