Josephine D'Alessandri

Josephine D'Alessandri of Dalton died Friday afternoon at Abington Manor Nursing Facility. She was the widow of Mario D'Alessandri, who died in 1992.

Josephine D'Alessandri led a life of grace and giving, and will be sorely missed.

Surviving are a son, Robert D'Alessandri and wife, Beatrice Heveran, Dalton; a brother, Mario Mancini and wife, Ruby, Bluffton, S.C.; four grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Ernest D'Alessandri, in 1958; a daughter, Rose Marie Ligouri, in 1996; three sisters, Lydia Cassese, Bella Nicola, and Vera Smith; and a grandson, Richard Ligouri.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Scarsdale, N.Y. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.
