Joseph Tacconelli, Sr.

Joseph Tacconelli Sr., 82, of Montrose died February 12 at Tyler Memorial Hospital in Tunkhannock.

Born in Lower Merion, PA he was the son of the late Luigi and Mary (Virgilio) Tacconelli. He attended Valley Forge Military Academy and proudly served in the United States Army for two years before being honorably discharged. Joe was a musician at heart and made a living fixing Brass and woodwind instruments. He was of the Catholic Faith.

Joe loved to fish. He also loved vacations and trips to the beach.

Surviving are two children, Joseph Tacconelli  Jr. and wife Theresa, Tristan Dax, and husband Chris, Gifford, PA; a brother Albert; three grandchildren, Robert Mosher and wife Chelsea, Stephanie Mosher, and Logan Dax; three great-grandchildren, Garrett Mosher, Charlie and Christopher Dax as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Johnny, Thomas, and Louis.

A memorial service will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremations Services Inc.
