Joseph (Jazz) Marchukitis of Scranton, PA went to be with the Lord on March 15, 2016 after a recent illness. He was born on July 10th, 1942 and was the son of Joseph and Ann Marchukitis.
Joe was married to Nancy Marchukitis (Kashmer) on January 18th, 1964. They recently celebrated 52 years of marriage. Nancy remained a devoted and loving wife who provided constant care to her husband throughout his illness.
Joe worked for 25 years at Edwards Concrete in Elmhurst PA. His greatest joy was hunting, fishing and enjoying the outdoors. He has a trophy room filled with his greatest hook and big-game hunting catches.
He is survived by his five daughters Joanne Flynn and her husband Greg of Binghamton NY, Ann Lewonczyk and fiance Frank Demarco of Dunmore PA, Donna Mizok and fiance Gregg McLaughlin of Weddington NC, Mary Jo Pickering and husband David of Waxhaw NC, and Debbie Price and husband Allen of Scranton PA. Joseph also has nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Abington Manor for their kind and compassionate care for Joseph during his stay.
Graveside services will be held at Lithuanian National Cemetery on Abington Road in Clarks Summit on Friday, March 18th at 11:00 AM.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St. Clarks Summit Pa 18411.
