Joseph Badalamente Sr., Clarks Summit, died Thursday at Abington Manor Nursing Home. His wife is the former Josephine Cillarato.
Born in New York, son of the late Joseph and Ida Badalamente, he had resided at Abington Manor for the past two years and had lived in the Clarks Summit area since 1984. Before retirement, he was a manager for an asphalt plant in Flushing, N.Y. A World War II veteran, he served in the European theater. He was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church, Clarks Summit.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. The family would like to thank the staff of Abington Manor for all of its love, care and understanding.
Also surviving are a son, Joseph Badalamente Jr. and wife, Sandra, Factoryville; two grandsons, David and wife, Amy, and Kevin and wife, Erin Badalamente, all of Clarks Summit; four great-grandchildren, Amanda, Nicholas, Madison and Molly; a brother, Frank Badalamente, Michigan; a sister, Connie Pegano, Florida; nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Sam and Peter Badalamente.
A blessing service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment will be in Abington Hills Cemetery.
