John P. Zujkowski of Clarks Summit died Monday evening at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio. He was the husband of Nancy Zujkowski, who died Nov. 23, 2004.

Born in Duryea, son of the late Frank and Mary Boqus- zewski Zujkowski, he was a resident of South Abington Twp. for the past 53 years. He was a postal supervisor for the U.S. Postal Service for 27 years and retired in 1977. An Army veteran of World War II, he served in the 88th Infantry in North Africa. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart.

He was a member of the Church of St. Gregory, Clarks Green. For many years, he was a Boy Scout leader in Chinchilla. An avid traveler, he was also president of the South Abington Water Association and a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.

His family would like to thank the staff and his friends at the Abington Senior Center for the past four years.

Surviving are a son, Stephen and wife, Dorothy, Aurora, Ohio; two daughters, Cynthia Zujkowski, and husband, Matthew Armstrong, Newton Twp.; Eileen Rinkunas, and husband, Joseph, Scranton; two sisters, Carol Grasso, Shelby Twp., Mich.; and Rose Kutney, Mansfield, Ohio; a brother, Frank, Smyrna, Ga.; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Christine Campisi; and two brothers, Andrew and Lawrence.

The funeral will be Saturday at 8:30 a.m. in the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in the Church of St. Gregory, 330 N. Abington Road, Clarks Green, by Monsignor John Louis. Interment with military honors, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
