John F. Roche, 76, of West Pittston, passed away on Saturday, February 5th at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Wilkes-Barre.

John was born in Brooklyn, NY. He was the son of the late John and Kathleen Clifford Roche. Prior to retirement, he was in the Law Department as a Court Representative at Consolidated Edison for 43 years. He was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church.

John is survived by his wife of 53 years, Margaret Ann Roche (nee Flynn), a son, John J. Roche and wife Ana, New York; daughters Kathleen Cassiglia and husband Robert, Virginia, Margaret Alexander and husband Martin, West Pittston, and Christine Agler and husband, Andrew, Tunkhannock, PA; grandchildren John Patrick and Michael Charles Alexander, Caitlyn Nicole and Cassady Flynn Agler; step-grandchildren Danielle Hobot-Bermeo and Marcelo Torres; step-great grandchild Alexis Torres; and sister Patricia Parker and children, New York. There was a great deal of love in the family.

John was a "die hard" Met fan and avid Steelers fan. A lover of westerns and action movies, "Go ahead make my day!" and a voracious book reader. He was a world class husband, dad and pop pop.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 12th at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State Street, Clarks Summit. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on Friday, February 11th from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital (stjude.org) or Alzheimer's/Dementia Association (Alz.org).
