John S. Perry of Dalton died at home Saturday following an illness. He is survived by his wife and soul mate, Kim Perry.
Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Perry. He was a graduate of Penn State University and was an Army veteran, serving in Vietnam. John was employed as a police officer in Washington, D.C., for several years, then served as a Pennsylvania state trooper. Before retirement, he was employed by the Pennsylvania Capitol Police.
A funeral service and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
