John Anthony Nesgoda Jr., 48, of White Haven, died Saturday due to complications from heart disease at home. His wife of 27 years is the former Candis Marie Lozinger, R.N., C.C.R.N.
Born in Kearny, N.J., he was the son of the late John Anthony Sr. and Bert Lovenduski Nesgoda. He was a graduate of West Scranton High School and Johnson Technical Institute. He worked as a mechanic specializing in electrical and drivability dysfunctions.
John was an avid fisherman, always enjoying the outdoors.
Also surviving are two sisters, Lori, R.N., and husband, John Sokolowski, Moosic; and Jolene Nesgoda-Werner, and niece, Jonele Werner, both of Avoca; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call from 6 until the time of service.
