Johanna Marie Jacoby

Johanna Marie Jacoby, Falls Twp., died Tuesday evening at her home.  She was the widow of Kenneth E. Jacoby who died in 1983.  Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Frederick W. and Johanna Schoen Schick.

Prior to retirement she was employed with Lackawanna County at the convalescent home in Ransom Township.  She was a member of the former Schultzville United Methodist Church.

She was a fantastic baker and made afghans for all of her grandchildren.

Surviving are a daughter, Denise Taffera and her husband Bill of Falls Township, a son, Robert Jacoby and his wife Karen of Newton Township, a daughter-in-law, Kay Jacoby, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Jacoby, her infant daughter, Janet Jacoby; two sisters, Louise Schick and Dorothy Greene.

As per her request, internment will be private at Newton Cemetery.
