Joan Lohmann

Joan S. Lohmann left this world on Thursday, November 2 ^nd at the age of 83, surrounded by her loved ones.  She was the wife of the late Phillip H. Lohmann.

She was born in the family home in Chinchilla and was the daughter of the late Chester and Gladys Seeley Schultz.  She was a graduate of Clarks Summit Abington High School, and a member of the Chinchilla United Methodist Church.

Prior to retirement she was employed by the International Salt Co. in the clerical department.  Joan lived for her Grandchildren and enjoyed all desserts, especially chocolate, softball, crocheting, soap operas, puzzles and walks.  Autumn was her favorite season with all its' vibrant colors, scents and beauty.

She leaves behind her loving children; a son, David P. Lohmann, his daughter Jessica and companion Leah;  a daughter, Jodi L. Chapman and her husband Robert E. Chapman Jr., their daughters, Paige and Alexandria; nephews, David, Mark and Kurt Schultz; nieces, Debra and Lisa Schultz.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph and Bruce Schultz.

The family would like to thank the staff at Willowbrook and Abington Manor for the care given to Joan, especially  the extraordinary compassion that was given by her  nurse, Roos Coffield.

The funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 am from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, PA  18411.  Interment will follow in Abington Hills Cemetery.

Friends may call on Monday morning from 10 am until the time of the service.
