Joan Elizabeth Sinclair Davies died Monday morning at Scranton's Regional Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Evan, who died on October 8, 2011.  They had been married for 57 years.

Joan was born in Scranton on December 13, 1932. The daughter of the late John and Mary Krigger Sinclair, she attended West Side High School and Lackawanna Business College. She had been a resident of Clarks Green for 51 years.

Joan was a loving wife and mother, and an enthusiastic golfer, bowler, and bridge and pinochle player. She and her husband also enjoyed square dancing.

Surviving are daughters Cathy Davies of Clarks Green and Marybeth Davies and her husband, John Killeen, of New Port Richey, Florida, and grandson, Edward W. Fialek, Jr. of Mahwah, NJ.  Sister, Audrey Palutis, and her husband, Richard; brother, John Sinclair, and his wife, Maryann; and their children and grandchildren also survive her. She was also preceded in death by her son, Mark Evan Davies, and her son-in-law, Edward W. Fialek.
Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family, with the Rev. Jeffrey Bohan, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, Clarks Summit, officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
