Joan Marie Catalano of Clarks Green died Friday morning at home. She was the wife of Michael A. Catalano Jr., who died in 2006.
Born in Dunmore, she was the daughter of the late Joseph N. and Rose Barbett Carra. She was a member of the Church of St. Gregory in Clarks Green.
The family wishes to thank Joan's caregivers as well as Hospice of Sacred Heart for the wonderful care and support.
Surviving are daughter, Michele C. Musheno and husband, attorney Jerry, Clarks Summit; two grandchildren, Laura Rose and Janine Musheno; two sisters, Ann Jones, Dunmore; and Gloria Scandale and husband, John, Plymouth Meeting; and a brother, Joseph N. Carra and wife, Eileen, Dunmore.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Stabert and Teresa Carra.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in the Church of St. Gregory, 330 N. Abington Road, Clarks Green, by the Rev. John M. Lapera. Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery, Waverly.
Friends may call Sunday, 5 to 7 p.m., at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen, 500 Penn Ave., Scranton, PA 18503, or St. Joseph's Center Foundation, 2010 Adams Ave., Scranton, PA 18509.
