Jessie Makowski

Jessie Makowski, a former resident of Elan Gardens and Clarks Summit Senior Living, passed away on Wednesday,May 2 at Allied Services Skilled Nursing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Makowski, in 1988 after 40 years of marriage.

She was born in Schenectady, NY and retired from Union College where she was a Maintenance Supervisor.  She was a very loving mother and always willing to help others.   Jessie lived in Schenectady, NY for over 70 years and then moved to Florida and most recently Dickson City.

Surviving is her daughter Monica Calpin, son-in-law William, step granddaughters Jennifer Sisto and Holly Calpin, step greatgrandchildren Cavan Sisto and Dominic Russo, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Helen, Mary, Sophie, Sadie and Wanda and brothers Walter, Teddy, Eddie, and Adolph.

The family would like to thank Phyllis Calpin for her continued support throughout the years and to the staff at Allied Skilled Nursing (3 North) for the loving care they showed Jessie.

A memorial service and burial will be held in Schenectady, NY at a later date.
