Jeanne A. Lowe, 90, Clarks summit, died Monday evening at the Mountain Rest Nursing Facility in Scranton. She was the widow of George F. Lowe, who died on April 16, 2003, the couple was married for 60 years.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late William Anna Preston Kapp. She was a resident of Clarks Summit for over twenty years and prior to retirement she was an office worker for the former Linder Brother's Coat Factory in Scranton.

She was a member of the Church of Epiphany in Glenburn, and a former member of the Women's Golf Association at the Scranton Canoe Club. A graduate of Dunmore High School and Penn State School of Beauty Culture.

Surviving are two daughters, Linda L. Phillips, Clarks Summit and Barbara J. Lowe, San Diego, CA; a brother, Robert, Scranton; two grandsons, John and Andrew Phillips; a great granddaughter, Iris Scott Phillips and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond, Edward, James, and William Kapp and a sister, Grace Meade.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 1pm at the Church of Epiphany in Glenburn with services by Rev. Graham Cliff. Interment will be in Woodland Memorial Garden on the grounds of the Church of Epiphany.

Friends may call on Saturday from 12:30pm until time of the service at the church in the commons room.
