Jeanette M. Rudd

Services have been scheduled for Jeanette M. Rudd, Scranton, who died March 7.
A blessing service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, by the Rev. Seth D. Wasnock, assistant pastor of Our Lady of the Snows Church. Interment will take place at Cathedral Cemetery at a later date.
Friends may visit from 9 a.m. until the time of the service



Jeanette M. Rudd, 81 of Scranton died Wednesday morning at The Gardens in Scranton. She was the wife of Ronald Rudd who died in 2009.

Born in Scranton she was the daughter of the late John and Florence Owens Gill. She attended Clarks Summit schools and worked as a seamstress  at Providence Sewing and on Depot Street in Clarks Summit for many years. Prior to moving to Florida, she was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church in Clarks Summit.

She was an avid bingo player , enjoyed gambling and scratch off lottery tickets, and loved to read. She was very proud of her sewing ability.

Surviving are a son Robert Ross, a daughter Debbie Waldron, a brother Jimmy Gill, three sisters, Florence, Joan, and Ginger, 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Herman Ross in 1978; brothers, Jack and George; four sisters, Eleanor, Margaret, Rose and Elizabeth.

A memorial service will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
