Jeanette C. Richard of Hop Bottom, formerly of Paterson, N.J., died Monday morning at Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore. She was the widow of Robert J. Perini.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed needlepoint, cross stitching, reading and watching movies about the Bible.
Surviving are three sons, Robert Perini and his wife, Brenda, Hop Bottom; John Perini and his companion, Stacey Cook, Hop Bottom; and Tim Perini and companion, Diane Lenox, Jackson; two daughters, Debra Leggieri and her husband, Matthew, Scranton; and April Karvchenko, Nicholson; grandchildren, Robert Perini and his wife, Nicole; Brandon Perini, Bethany Perini, Kerstin Kupiac, Ashley, Joshua and Zachary Ross, Alyssa Artley, Michael, Jeffery and Kalinda Leggieri, Kara Perini; and Amy Allen and her husband, Jamie; three great-grandchildren, Breanna, Zoey and Charley; a brother, Harry Richard, Wanaque, N.J.; a sister, Carol Meck and her husband, Dick, Mineral, Va.; and her beloved dog, Tinkerbell.
She was preceded in death by a son, Darcey "Chip" Karvchenko; a brother, William Richard; and three sisters, Barbara Lillman and her husband, Ed; Bonnie Weidow and Ruth Batzle.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. in the Clarks Summit United Methodist Church, 1310 Morgan Highway. Interment will be private.
Friends may call Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
