Jean Parker Grill of Clarks Summit died Wednesday morning at the hospice unit at Mercy Hospital. Her loving husband of 52 years is Warren L. Grill.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Richard Charles and Helen Gould Parker, she was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit as well as its Women's Priscilla Circle. She also was a member of Scranton Century Club, Abington and Scranton Women's Club and Abington Alamanders. She was a Girl Scout leader and Sunday school teacher.

Prior to starting her family, she attended nurse's training school and worked for Hanaman Hospital, Scranton, later joining Bell Telephone Co. as a service representative.

She was a lover of chocolate, bridge and chocolate, and she was the No. 1 fan of her children and grandchildren.

Also surviving are a son, Scott, New Milford; two daughters, Wendy McNelis and husband, James, Emmaus; and Lisa Copeland and husband, Robert, Mercer Island, Wash.; two grandchildren, Melissa and Meredith McNelis; and a brother, Richard Charles Parker Jr.

The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. from First Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit, 300 School St., Clarks Summit, with services by the Rev. William G. Carter, pastor. Interment will be in Dunmore Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
