Jean Lowrie Roberts Greame, 87, of Clarks Summit, died Thursday, August 25, at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton. She was the wife of the late Jack Roberts of Chinchilla and the late Ed Greame of Factoryville.
Born in Chinchilla, Jean was the daughter of the late Clair and Josephine Storm Lowrie. She was a graduate of Abington High School and was trained as a laboratory technician, working for doctors in north Scranton for many years.
In her retirement, Jean started a dog and cat sitting business, working for clients from Tunkhannock to Wilkes-Barre to Elk Mountain to care for their valuable family pets of all shapes and sizes.
Jean is survived by her sister, Penny (Ned) Kehrli of Chinchilla and brother Chet (Shirley) Lowrie, also of Chinchilla. She is also survived by her daughter Jeanette Roberts (Dave Francetic) of Madison, WI and her son, Jeffrey (Ning Ning) Roberts of Upper Darby, PA. Jean had two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A special thanks to the staff at Abington Manor in Clarks Summit who cared for Jean for the last few years of her life. She was a favorite at the Manor for staff and residents alike and always brought a spark to their daily activities. Terri and Harvey McEllhenney of Fleetville loved and cared for Jean in every way for decades. They were and will always be members of Jean's family, and their unwavering love and support is deeply appreciated.

Funeral service and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
