Jean W. Gannon, formerly of Clarks Summit, died Tuesday night at St.
Mary's Villa in Moscow, Pa. She was the widow of Donald Gannon, who died in April 2005.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit and
a former member of the Country Club of Scranton and the Scranton
Canoe Club. She enjoyed playing bridge and golf, and was a former ladies' golf champion
at the Scranton Canoe Club.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother (Nana) and greatgrandmother.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia G. Walsh, Tobyhanna; a son, Michael
A., Houston, TX; six grandchildren, Michael, Michele, Donald, Doug,
Jennifer and Michael; five great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Monday at 2pm from the First
Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit, with services by Rev. William G.
Carter, pastor. Interment will be private at the convenience of the
family in Clarks Green Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 1pm until time of the service at the church.
