Jane Ann (Winters) Suprick

Jane Ann (Winters) Suprick, 93, of Ransom Township, died Friday at Geisinger – Scranton. She was preceded in death by Michael Suprick, Sr., her husband of almost 69 years, in 2022.

Born in Ransom Township, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Cora (Anthony) Winters and a graduate of Newton-Ransom High School. Along with her husband, she was the co-owner of Mike’s Scrap Recycling. Jane was a lifelong member of Countryside Community Church, Newton Township.

Jane loved to travel and go out to eat. She was an avid baker who shared her delicious creations with her family, friends, neighbors, and church. She weathered the storms of her life with faith, strength, love, and a beautiful smile. Jane will be remembered for the enduring love she had for her children and grandchildren and the absolute adoration she held for her great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Surviving are daughter-in-law Deborah Suprick; son Jerry Suprick and wife Vonette; daughters Cora Samsock and husband Charlie, and Sandy Murphy and husband Joseph; grandchildren Elizabeth White, Robert Suprick, Jennifer Phillips, Charlie Samsock, Jr., Jason Samsock, Alea Helmick, Aislinn Turner, and Ariel Henes; nineteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; sisters Barbara Wetzel, Betty Keen, and Lois Bolling; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by sons Curtis Suprick and Michael Suprick, Jr.; grandchildren Curtis Jr., Justin, Vanessa, Lauren, Gisela, and Michael III; brothers Frank and Billy Winters; and sisters Margaret Shubrick and Cora Krakowski.

A funeral will be held at Countryside Community Church, 14011 Orchard Drive, Newton Township., on Tuesday at 11 a.m., with services by Karen Davis Rickaby. Interment will follow at Abington Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
