Jane F. Lunger, age 89, a lifelong Dalton resident, died at home early Sunday morning, February 18, 2018. She was the wife of Robert K Lunger who passed away in July 2017.

Jane was born in Scranton, PA on February 29, 1928. She graduated from Falls Overfield High School and married her sweetheart Bob on May 7,1949. She was a homemaker but often worked part time at Eckel's Farm many summers. Jane worked at the Polls in Mill City every year and received an award for never missing an election.

She was the daughter of the Harry and Ann Spencer.  She was a member of the former Schultzville Methodist Church.

Jane loved her family and friends. Her house was always opened to visitors. Her Fourth of July and Labor Day parties brought lasting memories for everyone. She loved to bake, make quilts, sew, play Uno, and see the Rockefeller Christmas Show. She traveled across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.

She is survived by daughters Debra Jaye and husband Jon, Oakland, NJ; Nancy Fetcho and husband Mike, South Abington Township; son Robert Lunger and wife Rachel, Lake Winola; grandchildren, Jonathan Jaye, Spencer and wife Kelly Lunger; and great granddaughter, Addison; plus several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased in death by husband Robert and brother Richard Spencer.

The family would like to thank Dr. Darlene Dunay for her medical care over the years. Also, a special thank-you to all the wonderful caregivers who assisted Jane.

The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, February 22 at Countryside Community Church, 14011 Orchard Dr., Clarks Summit, PA.  Interment will immediately follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Friends may call on Wednesday, February 21 from 4 to 7 PM at the Lawrence E Young Funeral Home, 418 S State St, Clarks Summit, PA. and on Thursday friends may visit from 10:30 am until the time of the service in the Countryside Community Church Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Countryside Community Church, 14011 Orchard Drive, Clarks Summit PA 18411; or the Lake Winola Volunteer Fire Company, P. O. Box 73, Lake Winola, PA 18625.
