Jane L. Davis Smith

Jane L. Davis Smith of Dalton died Sunday at Mercy Hospital. She was the widow of Henry W. Smith, who died Jan. 26, 2008.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late George and Hilda Schick Davis, she was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church. Before retirement, she was the head nurse for North Jersey Training Center, Totowa, N.J.

Surviving are three sons, William, Falls Twp.; Roy, Boston; and Henry, Stroudsburg; a daughter, Janet Pennella, Glenville, N.Y.; five grandchildren, David, Sarah and Anthony Pennella and Jenna and Jonathan Smith.

There funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, by the Rev. Eric Luczak, pastor of Bethel United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Glendale. Friends may call today, 4 to 7 p.m.
