Jane Courtright, 101, of Ransom Township died Friday at Allied Services, Scranton.  She was the widow of Lloyd Courtright, who died in 1998.

Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late H. Newell and Ruth Snover Stevens.  She attended Newton High School and was a homemaker.  Jane was a member of Countryside Community Church and a former member of the Newton-Ransom Volunteer Fire Company. She was a classic "country Grandma" who liked to quilt, sew, garden, and can and preserve food for herself and her family.

Surviving are a daughter, Aileen Bigar, Milwaukee; sons Lee Courtright, Ransom Township, and Richard Courtright, Scranton; grandchildren Wendy Bigar, Mic hele Santarsiero and husband Chris, and Roseanne Sabol; great grandchildren Timothy Space, Samantha Space, Kelli Davis, Mark Drutarovsky, Kaiden Plunkett, Melissa Sabol, and Seth Sabol; a great great granddaughter, Makayla Drutarovsky; and sister Eleanor Sohinki, Florida; and sister-in-law Jane Nardella.

Jane was preceded in death by son James Courtright and wife Fran, son-in-law Michael Bigar, sister Virginia Edwards, and brother-in-law Michael Nardella.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
