James Anthony Zaltauskas, 61, of Greenfield Twp., formerly of Scranton, passed away on Saturday 1/15/22 at Geisinger CMC Hospital from complications of Multiple Myeloma Cancer, with which he fought a short and courageous battle.
Born in Scranton, son of Joan and the late Albert Zaltauskas, he attended Scranton schools and was employed at General Dynamics, Laminations/Sonoma, and most recently part-time at Chewy. Jim loved to hunt and fish and was a Dallas Cowboy, Pittsburgh Pirates, and WBS Penguins fan.
Jim is survived by two sons James (Heather), Nanticoke, and Brian (Jaime), Blakely, and daughter Kelly (Sean), Scranton; Two granddaughters: Valerie (Nanticoke) and Madison (Scranton); a sister Sharon Baker (John), Susquehanna; a brother Gerald T (Carol), Scranton; and three nephews Calum Culkin (Susquehanna), Gerald A. Zaltauskas (Scranton), and Thomas Zaltauskas (Scranton).
Jim was predeceased by his wife Sandra Skotleski.
A memorial mass will be held on Monday, January 24 th at 9:30 a.m. from Mary, Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 316 William Street, Scranton, to be celebrated by Rev. Martin Gaiardo. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit.
