James A."Jim" Wells, 74, of Dalton, passed away on January 14, 2019 at Moses Taylor Hospital.  Born in East Benton, he was the son of the late Samuel and Anna Stugus Wells.  His wife, Pauline Menichiello Wells, passed away on September 5, 2014 after almost 47 years of marriage.

Jim was a 1962 graduate of Benton Township High School and attended Penn State University.  He worked as an Industrial Engineer at Procter and Gamble and retired after 30 years of employment.  Jim was a former member of the East Benton United Methodist Church and was a current member of the First Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit.  When he wasn't spending time with his family and friends, Jim could be found working in his woodshop on his latest project, or out riding one of his tractors on the farm. Jim loved being outside working in his yard or "tinkering" with things around the house in his spare time.

In addition to his wife, Pauline, he was predeceased by his brothers, Francis and Robert Wells.

Surviving are a son, James and his wife Amanda, Alpharetta, GA; two daughters, Lisa Wells, Pearl River, NY; and Pamela Wells, Princeton, NJ; a brother, Willard Wells, Fleetville, PA; three sisters, Alice Williams, Fiddle Lake, PA; Isabel Haynes, Schaumburg, IL; and Violet Dygert, Clarks Summit, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Saturday, January 19 th , 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, PA 18411.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 19 th , at 12:30 p.m., at the First Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit, 300 School St, Clarks Summit, PA 18411 , by the Rev. William Carter, pastor.  Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Northeast Regional Cancer Institute, 334 Jefferson Avenue, Scranton, PA 18510 www.cancernepa.org. or the First Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit.
