James Richard McHale, Clarks Summit, died Saturday morning at Geisinger CMC, Scranton. His widow is the former Donna-Lynn Timberman.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Daniel and Helen Burke McHale. For many years he was a self-employed truck driver and was a man of Catholic faith. He was a "Jack of all trades...and a MASTER of many". He was the most caring, loving and funny person and set the bar high of what a man should be. He was willing to help anyone, full of knowledge and would cheer up anybody's day by simply talking to them. He was definitely one of the good ones and will be missed by many.
Also surviving are a son, O.J. Gabriel and his partner Courtney Maher, Nicholson; a daughter, Jonni Kovalick and her partner Eric Williams, Clarks Summit; grandchildren Torey, Kayleigh, R.J., and Thomas Gabriel, Jordynn Kovalick, Erika and Landon Williams; and two great-grandchildren, Tristan and Trenton Gabriel; and a nephew, Kevin Searfoss.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit with services by Rev. Arbogaste Satoun. Friends may call from 12 noon until the time of the service.
