James Courtright, of Ransom Township died Thursday following an illness. He was a widower of Francis Chiappini Courtright, who he was married to for forty years.
Born in Taylor, he was the son of Jane (Stevens) Courtright and the late Lloyd Courtright. He was a 1961 graduate of Newton-Ransom High School. Jim was employed by John Buranich Transportation as a school bus driver. Prior to retirement, he was a truck driver for Gress Poultry.
Surviving are his daughter Roseanne Sabol, California; sister Eileen Bigar, Milwaukee; two brothers, Lee and Richard, both of Ransom Township; grandchildren Melissa and Stephen Seth Sabol, California; companion, Ruth Griffiths, Ransom Township; two nieces, Wendy Bigar, and Michelle Plunkett; several great nieces and nephews.
He was a member of Countryside Community Church.
The funeral will be held on Monday at 11 am from the Countryside Community Church, 14011 Orchard Dr., Clarks Summit, PA, with services by Rev. Mark Terwilliger, pastor. Friends may call at the church from 10 am until the time of the service. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, PA.
