Jacqueline Sue Richards, 53, of Dalton died Wednesday morning at Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of Kenneth F. and Donna J. Crook Richards. She was a 1979 graduate of Abington Heights High School and prior to her illness worked as a paginator for the Wyoming County Press Examiner. She was also a graduate of Star Beauty Academy, with her manager's license
She was a member of Countryside Community Church.
Surviving are two sons, Sean Richards, Marmora, NJ and Sgt. First Class Matthew Calder and his wife Tuesday, Guyton, GA; a daughter, Sara Calder Smith , Moosic; eight grandchildren, Cheyanne, Emily, Rylie, Keegan, Michael, Hannah, Nathan and Dylan; a brother, Michael Richards, Seaville, NJ; two sisters, Susan Davis and her husband Mark, Lynchburg, VA, and her primary caregivers, Lisa Landsiedel and her husband Roy; nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday at 1 pm at the Countryside Community Church, 14011 Orchard Lane, Clarks Summit with services by Rev. Mark Terwilliger, pastor.
The family will receive friends at the church from noon until the time of the service.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home & Cremation Svc., Clarks Summit.
