Irene Pico, 98, was welcomed into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 27 at Abington Manor. After 46 years of marriage, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Pico on April 23, 1984.
Born in Akron, Ohio as the eldest daughter and one of eleven children of William and Germa Barath, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and devoted Christian who loved reading and spending time with family.
Her family would like to thank the staff at Abington Manor for the care they provided over the past several months.
She is survived by her daughter Sharon Kopp and husband George Kopp; grandson Paul Kopp; grandson Timothy and wife Rachel Kopp; great-granddaughters Isabella and Adelinn Kopp; and four sisters and one brother as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by four brothers and one sister.
The funeral will be Thursday at 11:00a.m. at Heritage Baptist Church, 415 Venard Road, Clarks Summit. Friends may call from 10 am until time of the service at the church. Interment will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery, Cleveland, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heritage Baptist Church.
