Irene M. Felts, formerly of Clarks Summit, died Sunday evening at the Mountain View Care Center. She was the widow of Louie Felts who died in October 2007.
Born in Throop, she was the daughter of the late Carl Sr. and Bertha Kasper Romanowski. She was of the Catholic faith, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are a son, Bill Felts and wife, Karen, Clarks Summit; two daughters, Roberta Myers, Florida , and Hope Mikes, and husband, Jeff, Lake Ariel; three sisters, Ceil Christopher of Ledgedale, Jesse Brutzman of Scranton, Dorothy Grzwacz, Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Laurie Edgman, Allen Myers, Kelly Richmond, Debbi Dymek, and Cheyanne Mikes, nine great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son Chris Felts; two brothers, Carl Jr. and Eugene Romanowski; and a sister, Romayne Dende.
A blessing service will be held on Friday at 7 PM, by Fr. William Murphy, at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 South State St., Clarks Summit. Friends may call from 5 until the time of service.
Memorials may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen, 500 Penn Ave., Scranton, PA 18503.
