Ida Calpin, 94,  of Newton Township, formerly of Bell Mountain died
peacefully Thursday afternoon at home.  She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Calpin.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Stella and John Wilcom.  She was a graduate of North Scranton High School, and was employed at Burger King in the 70's.
Ida was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Her family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Life Geisinger.
Their professional care, compassion, friendship and humor made our Mom's
day.  Also a note of thanks to VNA Hospice for their compassionate care.
And a special  thanks to her caretakers Shirley, Roseanne, Angie and Darlene for
the loving care they gave to her.
Surviving are a son Henry Calpin and wife Debi of Archbald; a Daughter Sandy Rau
and husband Jim of Newton Township;  grandsons Jeffrey Rau, Scott Twp,
Brandon Rau and fiance Michele Kramer and daughters Karlaina and Teryn of
Copenhagen, New York.
She was preceded in death by a sister Eleanor Walters and a brother Donald Wilcom.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 10 am from Immanuel Lutheran Church, 238 Reese Street, Scranton, PA  18508.   Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 4-7 pm at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State Street,  Clarks Summit, PA.
Memorial donations may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
