Hunter Matthew James

Hunter Matthew James, 14, Glenburn Township, joined the angels in heaven on Monday.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of Matthew and Danielle James, with whom he resided, and Catherine Wazny, Clarks Summit.

He was a blessing to everyone who knew him. Hunter was Dad's buddy, Poppy and Grandpa Dan's helper, big brother to Holly and Preston, and loved hanging out with his best friends James and Kenny.

Hunter was a student at Abington Heights School District and was going to enter 9 ^th grade in September. He recently started his first job at the Scranton Canoe Club in Lake Winola and was just getting interested in playing golf.

Hunter was true to his name, enjoying hunting, riding ATVs and side-by-sides, going to the family hunting cabin, and fishing with his family. He loved Isabelle and Jake and all of his pets.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Holly James, and brother Preston Barrett; grandparents Robert and Gail James and Jill and Dan Cadden; aunts and uncles Jacqui Brust and husband Michael, Kristy and Katie Cadden, Amy Raniello, and Dan Cadden, Jr. and wife Samantha; and cousins James, Brady, and Leandra Brust.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the Clarks Summit United Methodist Church, 1310 Morgan Highway, Clarks Summit, with services by Pastor John Mackey.  Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mill City. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit.
