Hilda Reynolds of Layton Road, Justus, passed away peacefully on Saturday at the Mountain View Care Center. She was the widow of the late Lester D. Reynolds, who died in 2002.
Born in Dickson City, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Roy and Mildred Dakey Baker. Prior to her retirement, she worked for Barbizon Co. and Fairchild Weston. She was a member of the Abington Allamanders, the Hi-Rollers Bowling League and the retired club of Scott Twp. She was a longtime member of Mount Bethel Baptist Church in Justus and its Loyal Links class. Hilda also was a former member and officer of the Christian Women's Society.
Hilda was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed.
The family would like to thank the entire staff of the Mountain View Care Center for the professional and compassionate care that they gave to Hilda, and give a special thanks to her caregiver, Rosemarie Fritz, and her wonderful neighbors on the hill and up the road in Justus.
She is survived by two sons, Robert and Ronald, both of Justus; two granddaughters, nephews, cousins and many friends.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Jack Baker, in 1963.
The funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Mount Bethel Baptist Church, Layton Road, Justus.
Friends may visit on Tuesday at the church following the service.
