Henry A. Przywara, 93, of Lackawanna Health Care and Rehabilitation, formerly of Old Forge, died Wednesday afternoon, He was the widower of Maria J. Dziedzic Przywara, who died June 28, 2004.
A lifelong resident of Old Forge, son of the late George and Sophia Jason Przywara, he was educated in St. Michaels R.C. School. Before his retirement, he was a sheer operator for Superior Door and Sash. Earlier in his life, he was also a coal miner for many years.
He was a caring loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He always had a smile on his face and often made jokes to make you laugh. He also was one for serious or humorous stories of his past. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Henry was a very sweet gentleman and a wonderful gentle man with a heart of gold and thankful to everyone who made his acquaintance. He never spoke a harsh word about anyone, always treated everyone with respect and utmost kindness.

Surviving are a daughter and caregiver, Marcy Lukasiewicz, Ransom Twp.; two sons, Bernard, Moscow; and Henry, Old Forge; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Frank, Stanley, Michael and Eddie; and six sisters, Mary Cohowitz, Anna Zimak, Julia Ferrett, Victoria Zakoski, Bertha and Stasia Przywara.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from the Church of St. Benedict, Newton-Ransom Boulevard, Clarks Summit. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Old Forge.
Friends and family may call at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
